“Honest self reflection opens your mind to reprogramming, change, success and freedom.” ~ Vesotsky

December brings us to the end of another year; a time to reflect on all the wins and losses, to see how far we’ve come on our journey and reflect on what we wish to transform for the new year ahead.

In Vesotsky’s insightful observation, we can find a powerful strategy for making positive change.ย  Honest self-reflection is not just looking at areas in which we fell short, missed the mark, or didn’t live up to our promises to ourselves and others.ย

Honest inner examination also requires looking deeply at all the positive steps we have taken, the growth we have experienced, reframing the events of the year as the times in which we allowed things to work out for our highest good.

Reprogramming doesn’tย  mean throwing out the old and changing everything; it includes acknowledging and maintaining the successful choices, expanding on what has worked to create even more powerful pathways to success and freedom.

This month, challenge yourself to set aside time to look back over the year with deep honest reflection.  Read through your journals, look at photos, review the powerful moments that stand out in your memory and find the magical balance between growth to celebrate and areas to explore for expansion in the coming year.
